Lead Dog Sponsorship Program
Lead dogs are generally the fastest, bravest, and most responsive dogs of the team.
They set the pace and take direction from the driver. At times, in front of large teams or in storms, they
must navigate difficult trails
and make decisions without the musher's guidance since they are out of the musher's sight from the back of
the sled. Ideally, most of the dogs in the team have leading experience. We focus on training every dog
to lead to the best of their ability
and have been pleased to find that almost all of our dogs have leader talent.
$2500 Lead Dog Sponsors will receive:
-Listed on the website as that dog's sponsor
-A certificate of sponsorship
-Official Sponsor Hooded Sweatshirt (pictured at right)
-Your logo or name on the dogtruck, parka, and/or sled bag

Swing Dog Sponsorship Program
Swing dogs run right behind the leaders and are often leaders taking
a break from the front. These dogs are a great support for the leaders and work hard to help set the pace
and rhythm of the team.

Wheel Dog Sponsorship Program
Wheel dogs are the pair of dogs closest to the sled.
These dogs need to be powerful and quick on their feet since every movement of
the sled is felt the most by them. Their skills help guide the sled around difficult
corners and obstacles.
$500 Wheel Dog Sponsors will receive:
-Listed on the website as that dog's sponsor
-A certificate of sponsorship
-Official Sponsor Cap
-your name or logo on the dog truck, link on our website
-listed in publications as our 2008 Beargrease and Iditarod Sled Dog Race Sponsor.

Sponsor an individual dog
who is training for the Beargease Marathon and the 2008 Iditarod Sled Dog Race!
59 dogs are currently in training for these events. In January, 32 of the dogs will be competing in Beargrease
- 2 teams in the Marathon with Jen and Blake. In March, 40 dogs will head to Alaska for the Iditarod and 2 teams of 16 will start.
For $250, Dog sponsors will
-Be named on the website
as that dog's sponsor,
-Receive a certificate of sponsorship,
-Official Sponsor Mug
-and a bootie from your sponsored dog.
We cannot guarantee that anyone's sponsored dog will be on Beargrease,
or Iditarod teams,
but sponsors will receive certificates, sponsor shirt, and booties regardless of whether or not
their dog is chosen for the competition.

Tank-of-gas Sponsorship Program
Sponsor a leg of the Manitou Crossing team's trip to Alaska! Jen and Blake,
their handlers, and the Iditarod teams will drive to Alaska in February. A full tank of
gas for our dog truck costs over $50 right now.
The Tank-o-Gas sponsorship will fuel the team on one leg of their journey.
Tank-O-Gas Sponsors will get an "Official Sponsor" button and their name listed on the website.
