Northome's Maggie
Northome's Maggie was an incredible sled dog and producer of many great dogs. Ann and Al Stead loaned Maggie to Jen for the 1998 Jr. Iditarod. She made the transition from 10-dog sprint races to distance running flawlessly. She was the dog that you never needed to worry about... she was always there with her head down, working hard, and was never a problem. She was one of the best movers we have ever had , with the type of feet every musher dreams of having on their dogs. Maggie's imprinted her excellent qualities strongly in her offspring. Maggie spent the last 8 years of her life with us and is an important foundation bitch in our kennel. She had two litters for us, the first sired by Biko in 1998 and the second sired by Alex in 2001.
